Welcome to Crowne Books’ consignment program! Are you a Black author, comic creator, or poet? Do you write Black characters? If so, apply to have your books stocked at our store! Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee stocking.
RULES
- We accept consignment orders year-round, and pay out on a quarterly basis:
- Q1: January – March (Payout in April)
- Q2: April – June (Payout in July)
- Q3: July – September (Payout in October)
- Q4: October – December (Payout in January)
- If we are interested in stocking your work, we require a digital reader’s copy to ensure your book is a good fit for our store.
- If approved for the program, Crowne Books will commit to stocking 3-5 copies for 3 months. Crowne Books will pay to ship books to us, as we are currently a mobile/online storefront and store drop-off is unavailable.
- If you live in Utah, and we are hosting a pop-up event, Crowne Books can accept consignment orders in person.
- Consignment partners receive industry-standard rates of 60% of the retail price, while Crowne Books retains 40%.
- If consignment copies sell, we may contact you to extend the consignment agreement or explore wholesale options that pay you upfront.
- If consignment copies don’t sell, consignment partners agree to pay shipping and handling to have their books returned, or to coordinate pickup at an event within 30 days of the consignment agreement ending. Otherwise, Crowne Books reserves the right to treat these books as donations.
